Wicked Writing Workshop & Book Fair

Writing Drafts & Sipping Crafts

Whether you’re working on your first draft or your fifth revision, join four local authors who enjoy having a good time while talking about what they love: drafts. Both the written word on the page and the liquid variation of craft beer.

You will spend the morning and afternoon moving through four generative workshop sessions navigating multiple genres of writing: memoir, fiction, poetry, and children’s literature.

Afterward, stay for a book fair featuring several local authors, open to the public. Browse, buy, and meet your favorite author and maybe even some favorites you haven’t met yet.

Location: Wicked Warren’s Brewery, Jamestown

Date: June 27th

Time: 10am - 4pm

Meet Your Presenters

Jason K. Bussman, memoir

A teacher, writer, and bartender walk into a bar. Hey, wait, that’s all me. Whatever hat I’m wearing, whether it’s over a beer or in a classroom, I am a big fan of learning through sharing stories. This workshop will challenge writers to look in the mirror and pull out the everyday moments that shape our narratives, and put them down on the page.

Rebecca Cuthbert, poetry

When all else fails, read. When nothing is failing, read again. No one ever regrets learning to read.

As an author and Library Director with a degree in Language, Literature, and Writing, I’ve published two children’s books and edit two monthly newsletters.

Let’s explore the journey of creating a children’s book—from illustration to publication, and everything in between.
